What does it say about us that the first picture we post is not of our children??

This is one of our favorite trails near our house. Autumn is definitely more beautiful here than where we grew up. Is there even Autumn in the Antelope Valley???

Obviously, this was taken a few months ago. These days we can't go into the woods without bright orange hats and vests on because it is hunting season. You know you live in the country when, as you pull out of your driveway on your way to work at 7am, you have to yeild the right-of-way to an ATV with a deer carcass on it's hood.
